We cultivate a fascination and appreciation with and for angling and the outdoors by taking kids fishing every day for a week. Our camps feature catch+clean+cook, fishing for multiple species using a variety of techniques, rigging, knot tying, baiting and species identification.
We start each day fishing with professional fishing guides on boats. Depending on the bite, anglers typically catch crappie, white bass, largemouth, catfish and drum.
After boat time, campers can choose to swim and explore at the Enid Lake Swim beach, take a turn tubing, or continue fishing.
In addition to rod and reel applications, we teach campers to use cast nets, jug set-ups, yo-yos and more.
Every minute on the water or shore invites learning opportunities as we discuss fish biology, life-cycle, diet and forage, teach knots and bait selection, and demonstrate and let campers try their hand at filleting fish.
Every day is play and includes competitions and contests with chances to win prizes: swimming and foot races, casting contests, fishing derbies and archery challenges are just some of the ways we keep our campers engaged and excited.
Not just a lifelong leisure pursuit, fishing affords an opportunity to provide healthy and tasty nourishment. We teach kids prudent fish handling, fish cleaning, and then cook and eat the fish at the conclusion of the week at our popular parents-can-come Fish Fryday.
Camps are geared toward two types of kids: those who love being outside and those who need to.
