Divide Section - 20 acres of millet and sorghum
September 3- October 14, 2022: 2:00 pm to sunrise until sunset. No entry prior to 1:00 pm on opening day
November 19 - November 27, 2022: Thirty minutes prior to sunrise until sunset.
December 24, 2022 - January 31, 2023: Thirty minutes prior to sunrise until sunset.
Hell Creek - 12 acres of millet and sorghum
September 3: A youth dove hunt will be held on a designated field from 2 p.m. - sunset. After the youth dove hunt, dove hunting will be allowed from 2 p.m. – sunset during the first season, except during scheduled deer gun hunts. After the first season, dove hunting is allowed during the statewide season dates, except during special event dates (see below).
September 4 - October 14, 2022: Hunting hours are 2:00 pm until sunset. No hunting during scheduled deer gun hunts (Oct. 5-8 and Oct. 12-15).
November 19 - November 27, 2022: Hunting hours are thirty minutes prior to sunrise until sunset, except no hunting during special event dates (see below).
December 24, 2022 - January 31, 2023: Hunting hours are thirty minutes prior to sunrise until sunset, except no hunting during special event dates (see below).
Special event dates: Oct. 27 – Nov.22, Dec. 1 – Dec. 4, Dec. 15 – 18, Jan. 3 – 8, Jan. 12 - 15
Howard Miller - 15 acres of sunflowers
September 3 - October 14, 2022: Hunting hours are 2:00 pm until sunset. Cannot enter the field prior to 1:00 pm. on opening day. Dove may be hunted during this season only East of the gravel road.
Leroy Percy - 30 acres of sunflowers
September 3: Youth hunters with guardian. Hunting hours are 2:00 pm until sunset. Guardians accompanying youth may hunt. One guardian is allowed per youth and is defined as a person over 21 years of age with a valid hunting license. The youth hunter and their guardian must hunt together in one of the 25 designated hunting locations.
September 7 - October 12, 2022: Wednesdays and Saturdays only. Hunting hours are thirty minutes prior to sunrise until sunset. The number of hunters on the dove field is limited to 25.
November 19- November 26, 2022: Hunting hours are thirty minutes prior to sunrise until sunset. The number of hunters on the dove field is limited to 25.
December 24, 2022 - January 28, 2023: Hunting hours are thirty minutes prior to sunrise until sunset. The number of hunters on the dove field is limited to 25.
Muscadine Farms - 46 acres sunflower and corn
September 5: A youth draw dove hunt will be held on designated fields on Monday, September 5, 2022. Youth dove hunters must apply online by clicking here from August 1 to August 15. Youth participants will be selected by a random online drawing. Drawn youth participants must check in at the WMA Headquarters on September 5 between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Lunch will be provided.
September 10 - October 13, 2022 : Dove hunting will be allowed on Saturdays, Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays only from 2:00 pm until sunset.
All other migratory game birds may be hunted in assigned units while on permitted
duck hunts during the legal season for the species. Outside of the regular duck season, migratory game birds may be hunted daily on the WMA during the legal season for those species.
O’keefe - 16 acres of sunflowers
September 3 - October 14, 2022: 2:00 pm until sunset. No entry prior to 1:00 pm on September 3.
November 19 - November 27, 2022: Thirty minutes prior to sunrise until sunset.
December 24, 2022 - January 31, 2023: Thirty minutes prior to sunrise until sunset.
Okatibbee - 30 acres millet
September 3 - October 14, 2022: From thirty minutes prior to sunrise until sunset.
November 19 - November 27, 2022: From thirty minutes prior to sunrise until sunset.
December 24, 2022 - January 31, 2023: From thirty minutes prior to sunrise until sunset.
Trim Cane - 45 acres of sunflowers and millet
September 3 - October 14: Hunting hours are from 2:00 pm to sunset on Wednesdays and Saturdays only. Saturday, September 3, no entry prior to 1:00 pm on opening day. The number of hunters on the dove fields is limited to 40.
Tuscumbia - 15 acres of millet and sorghum
September 3- October 14, 2022: 2:00 pm to sunrise until sunset. No entry prior to 1:00 pm on opening day
November 19 - November 27, 2022: Thirty minutes prior to sunrise until sunset.
December 24, 2022 - January 31, 2023: Thirty minutes prior to sunrise until sunset.
William (Billy) C. Deviney - 30 acres of sunflowers
September 3 - October 14, 2022: Hunting hours for opening day are from 2:00 pm until sunset. No entry prior to 1:00 pm on opening day, September 3. During the remaining statewide season framework, dove hunting hours are from 30 minutes before sunrise to sunset. The entire WMA is open for dove hunting during this time. The number of hunters on the dove field is limited to 40.
