The Difficult Process of Getting a Bird Dog

Was planning on getting a wirehaired pointing griffon ever since I met Banks, the first I had seen of the breed. After calling around, I was recommended to Phillipe Roca, the godfather of Griffons (according to gentleman who referred me). Only pups available had a hernia, and couldnt make timing workout. Now, I'm trying to find a back-up plan. Here's my status list of people I've reached out to.

Switchgrass Sporting Dogs OK: reached out through website 11/8, Jay emailed 11/8 and replied no dogs, offered to show me his pups in Enid

Wirehaird Pointing Griffons of Colorado: reached out through website 11/8, learned no litter until Summer/Fall 2018

Zoom Brewer Kennels MS: reached out via phone from AKC website, has two boys available for pick up 11/27, $1,500 

James Johnson Wolf Point MT: reached out via phone from AKC webiste, has no animals
