1/21/2019 Draw Hunt Mississippi: Turkey Permit Application Time

Mississippi, like other states, has limited access draw or permit hunts for certain species on certain hunting areas. The thought behind the process is by limiting the allowable hunters, a higher quality hunt experience can be provided. Because the computer draw algorithm gives preference to hunters who have not been drawn for a particular location/species, the more often you apply and aren’t selected, the more likely you will be selected for future hunts.

The turkey applications came out a couple of days ago and I went ahead and applied for all non-youth hunts hoping to snag a decent turkey stalking spot later in the spring.

The 16 permitted turkey hunts I applied for the 2018-2019 hunting season are below. I will update after the draw with any winning permits.
