5/22/2019 Another bass at Puskus (1st here from a kayak)

I was up way later than I had hoped last night, failing to crawl in bed until after 1:00 am on account of the homemade chicken bacon ranch pitas.

Nonetheless, I woke up tired around 6:30, jacked around with coffee and watering the yard and made it out to Puskus around 8:30 am. 

I took the kayak off the Corolla Truck and put in at the boat ramp. I worked coves and shoreline cover before deciding to fish with the wind and drift the day use banks. I saw a few signs of bass and eventually connected with one near the lily pads right up against the bank. Puskus has been a tough bite for me, I think I’ve maybe caught 4 bass and 1 catfish, but there are fish here, and they can be caught. I need to come back earlier in the morning, which I plan on doing soon.
