7/17/2019 Fly Rod Firsts at Drewery Lake

Hoping to snag my first largemouth bass on a fly rod, I headed to Drewery Lake just outside Oxford, MS. Unlike North Cypress, Denmark and Cypress Lakes, each of which get harder to access and fish as summer vegetation grows up, Drewery Lake stays relatively fishable throughout the summer.
