7/18/2019 First (tiny) Bass on a Fly Rod!

Knowing full well that Drewery Lake has more bass than the zero I caught yesterday I returned to the woods hellbent on catching something other than a sunfish on my Martin fly rod.

After a few swings and misses with the popping fly, I tied on a Josh Quong, Cal Trout, and Greg Essington (my fly fishing coaches) approved wooly bugger in olive

9:49 am Another nice bluegill

10:11 am More juvenile bluegill

10:14 am Another baby bluegill on a popping fly

10:27 Made the switch to the Josh Quong approved Olive Wolly Bugger and bam! My first largemouth bass on the fly

10:33 am First bluegill on the wooly bugger

11:07 am One more largemouth bass on the popping fly to round out my day
